UPDATES
29/3/21 - On site meeting with leader of Woking Borough Council and Brookwood parish councillor. Agreed Highways to visit and advise.
6/4/21 - Zoom meeting with Pirbright Parish Council - project received support from the chairman and committee. To be discussed with Highways team via onsite visit.
21/4/21 - Confirmation from Pirbright Parish Council that Highways have suggested: to include the addition of a pedestrian phase to the existing traffic signals on Gole Road, installation of a new footway with pedestrian railings on the north section of the tunnel with a new pedestrian island and dropped kerbs to make it easier to cross over the road there, before the canal bridge. Currently potentially on the running list for 2022/23.
21/4/21 On site meeting with leader of Woking Borough Council, both Heathlands representatives, Surrey County Council representative and Highways (Woking Council) representative. All agreed route needs looking at - awaiting follow up.
